My pulse races at your touch,
holding my breath,
you don't ask for much.
All you want is my love.
I'm afraid to give you my heart.
The past stole it all away.
It should be easy, simple.
If only I could give you what you want,
to put a smile back to your dimple.
But I choke on regret and sorrow,
living in my past,
I smile and hope to still be yours tomorrow.
I don't know what to say,
I don't know how to put this,
So I'll just attempt it...
I love you forever and always.

Concerts
Bodies sweating, swaying to the beat,
Arms raised, dancing
Bodies producing heat.
Grinding and bumping,
Feeling the music,
Rocking with the bass thumping.
Screaming and shouting,
voice becoming hoarse,
as the band leaves us pouting.
We always want more,
enough is never enough,
no matter how sore.
We are free from rules and parents,
we can be ourselves with no limit,
everyone is family, no arguments.
I can be free,
I can be at peace,
I am home.
Arms raised, dancing
Bodies producing heat.
Grinding and bumping,
Feeling the music,
Rocking with the bass thumping.
Screaming and shouting,
voice becoming hoarse,
as the band leaves us pouting.
We always want more,
enough is never enough,
no matter how sore.
We are free from rules and parents,
we can be ourselves with no limit,
everyone is family, no arguments.
I can be free,
I can be at peace,
I am home.

Steel
The steel calls to my wrist,
it begs and it pleads,
all other options are off the list.
The steel leads me to my happy place,
far away from all their other wants and needs,
it's like running an endless race.
The steel holds my sanity,
in it's fiery grip.
Almost as fierce as a teenage girl to her vanity.
The steel is my constant friend,
it never stabs me in the back,
it doesn't follow that trend.
The steel pleads for my blood,
watch it flow from my wrist,
my steel opens me up like a flood.
it begs and it pleads,
all other options are off the list.
The steel leads me to my happy place,
far away from all their other wants and needs,
it's like running an endless race.
The steel holds my sanity,
in it's fiery grip.
Almost as fierce as a teenage girl to her vanity.
The steel is my constant friend,
it never stabs me in the back,
it doesn't follow that trend.
The steel pleads for my blood,
watch it flow from my wrist,
my steel opens me up like a flood.
